Just wondering if anyone has a favorite web browser that is worth a download. I use IE6 on XP Pro and Mozilla on Red Hat 8, both are pretty nice (think I'm programmed to like IE though, used it since I was first introduced to the 'net ;p) I had Mozilla on XP for a while, but it didn't seem to like me, crashed a lot and was just plain ugly. Works excellent on Red Hat *shrugs* Just looking for something new and a better alternative to browsing for por... er, photoshop tutorials ;p

If I had a Mac, I would most definitely use Safari as well. But Opera is as good as it gets on the PC as far as I'm concerned.

I've looked at Opera before, just didn't like the idea of ads being built in to the free version and don't want to pay for it if I don't like it or don't use it.

I never even notice the ads. It's not like a pop-up or anything. There is just one little banner sized ad in the top right. And I never ever look up there, so who cares? You're missing out if you don't even give it a chance.

I don't mind using it at home, but can't use it in a business anywhere, since you can't authenticate to a proxy server correctly using it. You have to download and use Microsoft Proxy Client. Too much work

i'm using the opera 7.02beta at the moment and it is fantastic. No ad's for some reason, maybe they'll put them in later, i dunno :p

It's got a real slick new interface too.
