Non square pixels is mostly to do with TV monitors and other devices which aren't as exacting with pixel aspects as a computer monitor.

You can kind of get an idea here.

I want the Deadline Extender tool, dammit.

I'm frowning a little about the OSX 10.2 Jaguar-only Mac compatibility. Is there any software out there that is WIN XP-only?! Nothing as common as Photoshop, I bet.

NT, 2000, & XP are all from the NT kernel, which is different than 98, ME, and 95.

Yep. I agree. But I think you see what I'm getting at.

I don't have the exact numbers, (the results of my survey aren't in yet - j/k) - but most - if not all - of the Ad agencies and printers I deal with are still using OS 9.2. They're gonna be pissed. Plus, there are a ton of other issues 1)medium - format inkjets that can't or won't develop OSX drivers (i.e. EPSON Stylus Color 1520) and 2)some of the color calibration software & hardware aren't OSX complient - that I know of.

some of the main reasons I think Photoshop 7 was somewhat of a flop for the mac platform.

Myself, though - I'm on OS 9.2 at home, but still holding out for that sexy new G4, then I'll be up to speed.

pretty soon adobe is going to run out of new things to add to their products, and will just combine them all into one big ass graphics program that does *everything*. you will see. you will all see!!!

on the mac note, i went to target to play with an iPod, and holy crap is that thing cool. the little wheel thing doesn't even more, but it knows when you move your finger, it's like magic! and i learned the interface in approximately 3 seconds and could operate it blindfolded from them on. great stuff.

I had an ipod for a couple of days....gees louise it's amazing. There is nothing like it out there. It's not only an MP3 remember...calculator, organiser etc. It works with the mac very well too, detects it in a second and everything is just so easy to do. I'd definitely buy it if i wasn't in debt..

The OSX thing...yup, silly move by Adobe. Although i'm wondering if Apple and Adobe made a deal to attract design houses to buy new Apple computers to run the brand spanking new Adobe products...you never know. Luckily i have Jag :D But no money....and to be honest Photoshop 5.5 or 6 can pretty much suit all your needs. These new upgrades are just more fancy and are add ons from other Adobe products or add ons from the same product. I'm happy running PS 6 under OS9 through OSX.2....yup i'm thinking Apple and Adobe have been brainstorming.

hey cybling, you're right. Except I think they're freaky lovers. With leather, latex and one of those chinese swings, a bunch of lotions and creams and scented candles lit all over the room, and rose petals and one of those big rubber....

Whoa! - nevermind. uh, sorry. Watching a little too much late-night Skinemax and East-coast HBO. my bad.
