Dunno if this has been posted earlier, but I find this while surfing the net. Thought you wanted to know.

Wow, sounds like they are adding some great new features: Text on a path (finally!), non-square pixels, more color modes (that i have never heard of).... etc....

Hmm... Non-destructive filter layers. Thats gotta be cpu devouring, at least if you move a layer around. But I guess I'll need to wait and see. The only positives I see so far are the nested layer sets, and the enhanced 16-bit mode support. I would hope that the enhanced 16-bit support would mean full editing ability in that mode, but I doubt it. |

I like the text on a path feature. I'm tired of having to do that in anothe program and import it into photoshop.

I'll only like the photoshop text on a path feature if it keeps text editable, just as in Illustrator. And I bet Adobe will make Photoshop's text on a path feature rasterize the text. I really doubt they'll give us exactly what we want with that feature.

What!?! You've never experienced the luxury of Extensis' Photographics plugin or HumanSoftware OttoPaths plugin (it's just-OK...all of their plugs U.I. are butt-ugly) to do T.O.A.P. directly in Photoshop?!? And YES, the text remains editable..at least in Photographics...don't know OttoPaths well enough to confirm. Dang shame, though...Extensis quit developing Photographics...but I'm guessing that Adobe will do such a good job on this that Extensis foot-dragging will be rendered a moot argument. Where the heck have you been hiding, man! "Photographics" has been a brilliant and faithful timesaver for me for a couple years now! |

"improved ability to work with non-square pixels" What's this all about?? Well I can't afford another upgrade, anyway :( |
