Who snowboards here? I just started this season and so fare I've gone 6 times. I've a 5 Mt. pass to breck, keystone, vail, a basen, beaver creek . As of right now I've only gone to keystone and breck. I can't wait to explore vail. I hear they've some sick cliffs and jumps. I first started to learn on my buddies old old old school K2 and I must say I'm so happy I forked over 300 bucks for a ride, Fleetwood. I can take some of the sickest turns with this fine peace of craftsmanship. At the end of the year I may buy myself a capita, black snowboard of death. Let me know what you guys ride and where you go. |

Cool! I am going to learn this year as well. I have a board (borrowed) and a pass, but so far this is the worst snow ever and there still isnt any in the mountains =\.... But I cant wait to try it out....

I went snowboarding one time in Breckinridge. Yup. Went down the mountain one time. And then never again. *oh* and I rode a "rental" from the "ski shop". Have you ever heard of that brand? someone told me it was kickass. |

My guess is you ended up on your ass all the way down? If it was your first time you should go a few more times. My frist day sucked so bad. My 2nd day I could make it down the Mt. with out falling. |

Yeah I fell quite a lot. And I didn't really want to go in the first place... Plus one of my bindings broke on the way down, and I was with my (then) girlfriend's family and didn't have a car to drive back to the shop and have them fix it. It was fun when I was standing up though. And if I didn't live a 3 day drive from the mountains I might go more often and actually get good at it.

HELLYEAH I SNOWBOARD! One word you need to know: STEAMBOAT . Heaven on Earth for snowboarders and skiiers, in my opinion. go get snowed in there for about 4 days, bro. I've been riding since '95. My first time was at Copper Mtn. - it was rough. Since then, I've ridden most of Wyoming and Colorado - never Vail though. Either Vail or Aspen wouldn't allow boarders until about a year ago. bastards. I'm preparing to conquer Utah this winter. Haven't gone up yet, but I have a condo reserved for the 18th - 19th at Brianhead Resort (Southern Utah) - I'm so stoked I could wet myself. I need a new board though - I ride a Santa Cruz 147 now, but it's too stubby for freeriding, I used to do more freestyle, but now I'm too old. (Too many concussions running over amateur skiiers, too.) I've had sticks from Burton and Sims, too - be sure to lock up your board - I've had 2 of them jacked! Jealous, graphicsguy |

We don't get snow here in Iowa, so I can't snow-anything. ...I'm kidding. We actually do get snow...I think. Well, we haven't had any for the last 4 years, and we haven't had any real snow yet this year so far. Heck, it was 50° today, and will be even warmer tomorrow. December's average temperature is about 15° warmer than October's was. October was a very cold month. |
