I know the script code for the news scroll but im now exactly sure how to place it inside an image like on the front page of this site.. please help.. thanks..

Put it inside a <.div> tag create a layer in DW and place it in there. |

Are you refering to Dreamweaver, because i do not have it.. Is that the only way i could do it?

Like he just told you, put it in a <.div> tag. (leave out the period)

You don't need Dreamweaver if you want to hand-code it all out...you don't want to do that now do you?

Sorry to ask but im not well educated with html and stuff... But, what is a div tag? Or where can i find info on that tag specifically.. Im sure this will really piss off all you know it alls out there, but please understand.. Im learning... And there is no reason to get an attitude when responding, but please feel free to help..

Hit a place like http://webmonkey.com and read up on <.div> tags... I ripped apart one of my pages and got a tiny page you could prolly use to learn with.... make a back up copy and tinker with it. just snatch the source code and stuff from here: http://cbutts.com/scroller/ Don't think we aren't glad to help....if you are willing to learn... get stuck.... just yell. |

I dropped this into my editor and used the find function for "newsbg". The img tag should look like this: [code]*IMG src="newsbg.jpg" width="219" height="304" align="top" alt="Scroll" usemap="#Map" border="0"**MAP name="Map"*[/code] Changing the * into < > |

Ola, If you are using dreamweaver with extension manager installed i can send you the mxp file. That way its only click, insert some text and you are done. |
