I want a javascript that controls the browsers text size, so the text size for example will be medium for viewing my page in the net.

use stylesheets to set the size of the text you want.

Hi there, I am glad that u r trying 2 help. But I think u didn't get my meaning! The problem I'm facing that I'm using tables in my pages, and I put a background picture in these tables. So the prblem is, when the visitor open my page, if the text size in his browser is set to large, the text in my tables become larger so the dimensions in my cells in the tables becomes larger too, so the background picture will be multiples. The only thing that I want a javascript that controls the text size in the visitors' browsers so the text size in the Explorer 5.5 for exapmle in (View->Text Size-> Midium) will be medium whatever he set the size. |

and if you use CSS to set the size of the text to what you want it, you wont have to worry.

Hi my friend, Thank u very much 4 ur assistance man, I did what u told me and it works fine, but again I faced another problem! The problem now that the cells in the tables expand, so the background image become multiples one more time, while the text remains the same size that I styled it. But the cells it self expand! Is there any solution 4 this? |

You could just use CSS to make the background not tileable.

Well either way you are going to be able to resize the text. There is no way to keep the user from making the text large.

I haven't figured out a way to resize it if you are using style sheets. For example, I can't adjust the size of the forum text. Or any other web site with stylesheets. Do you know some trickery that lets you do it?

By George I do: Tools-->Internet Options-->General--> See bottom-->Accessibilty --> You can ignore specified colors, you can ignore text styles, you can ignore font sizes, or by golly, you can even specify your own style sheet to use for sites. It's kind of fun actually. I tried it for a while, but have yet to re-do it since I installed XP. ...And there are people that hate Internet Explorer... |
