hahaha, lmao, i hope you got at least a tutorial or 2 with that 7500$ software u jus decided to whip out and learn :D you didn't happen to pick up any $500 maya plugins with the piece of software did ya? funny.

on maya's site now, I can't find the free download you speak of.

EDIT: oh i see, hasn't been released yet. cool idea, so are you gonna be able to actually save renders as an image with this trial?

as for fp's question http://3dcafe.com/asp/tutalias.asp oughta be at least a few basic ones in there somewhere.

As far as I can tell from that article, you can save files and also make pictures of renders. But the saves will only open in that free trial version of maya, and the renders will have watermarks.

Well, all i'll say to you warez people is watch out. Cinema 4D automatically works with whatever browser you're using to actually check if the software is legal. No joke, i know it sounds impossible but it's true. I can even in fact see it happen when i open IE 5 for my mac, it does a check which take a couple of seconds. And since C4D is very cheap compared to Maya, i'm sure Alias|Wavefront have a simialr checking system, almost positive in fact. If an illegal copy of the software is found, they know you're IP and you can go down....

watch your backs, there are people out there looking for you guys.....

true cybling that is one way to catch people, but if someone smart enough then they won't allow the software to check, something simple and free like zonealarm will allow you to "let" or "reject" internet access to certain progs, if somethin tries it asks you first. No matter what measures companies take somone will find a way...
