*shakes fist* I love GoLive. I like the way it handles tables in the WYSIWYG editor. Ihave Dreamweaver at school and GoLive at work. I'm gonna have to say GoLive is the better program for what i do.

I've never even used it. So I can't make a valid argument or opinion about it. I just liked Dreamweaver from version 2.0, and now I've started coding by hand more so I'm not really interested in GoLive.

I always set up and tweak tables in a WYSIWYG editor. Thats why i'm picky about how Dreamweaver does it. Sure it has other spiffy stuff but if i have to spend 20 minutes to fix some weird stuff it did to my embeded tables than its not worth it. GoLive is much like Dreamweaver in the aspect that you can work both entirly in plain code or a WYSIWYG, or a lil mixture of both. If i just wanted to do code i'd use Wordpad. but i need to make things work in a specifically way visually, thats why WYSIWYG are great. |

You want ease of use? 1 word. Photowebber. Photowebber <--Click here to be amazed They have a downloadable trial. There will be some issues, however if you decide to purchase trying to use the files you created with demo, with the licensed version. It automatically creates a web page from a layered photoshop file. Don't get much easier than that. You can format with tables or layers. Automatically makes rollovers and pop-ups, etc. |

Maybe, maybe-not--but Image Ready's icky-poo. Besides, Image Ready won't do layers, will it? DIV's are sexy!!!! |

I started off coding with arachnophilia and I've stuck with it. wysiwyg editors.. the only times I've tried them I've wanted to put my fist through the screen. Probably just takes practice. |

TheDPQ, I tried GoLive for like a day (came with a trial when I got the Photoshop 6 upgrade). Personally I didn't care for it. Now I will also admit that I probably did not give it enough time. But, I'm so used to Dreamweaver/Homesite that I am probably stuck in my ways with those two. However, Chris Ness (a.k.a. Mr. Photoshop) uses GoLive and claims he loves it. So I'm sure it's a good program. The only thing I noticed is when he sends me stuff sometimes there are a TON of duplicate div, font, etc. tags in there. That may be because he uses a Mac and I use pc. Don't know... But there are people who use it besides you ;) |
