I made a flash "movie" from the tutorial on Spoono on making a scrolling newsbox kind of thing. I saved it as a *.fla file and a *.swf file. Now, how do I upload the movie so it "plays" on my site and what kind of code, if any, do I have to use.

publish the movie, which will also create an html file, then upload the swf and html files. that html file will have the movie embedded in it.

you might also do the tutorials under the help menu in flash, sounds like you might do well learn to do a bit more of the basics ;)

R you sure your text (im going to guess its a seperate txt file) is in the same directory as your swf??

Also re-check your variables (your load var command and your dynamic text box var.)

What should I have in the variable box? Sorry, Spoono barely gives any information.

I got the text to work kind of. When I did a publish preview, I had to right click and go to back and the text came up but the scrollers didn't work. I'm still not sure why the scrollers aren't working.

"What should I have in the variable box?"

Im not sure what tut you used so i cant comment too much. Also i dont want to confuse you.

But when you load outside text into an empty box..the text box is a Dynamic text box. Under the "text options" palette you need to set the text boxs variable to the variable of your text.

If this doesnt make sense then just disregard it. Anyway if your text is working....than everything is fine.

As to the scrollers...are u using flash 5 or 6? If 5 did you create a loop so the scrollers can execute??

What tut are you using?? that would really be helfpful in trying to help you. Or maybe you could post your swf? Just need a little bit more information

I think I'm using version 1 of flash. My friend burned it for me so thats why I don't have a box or anything. As for the tut, here is the link.....

If you could put that into like your own words then tha would be awesome but I understand that is a little too much to ask of you.
