Alright, guys, I need a new editor, lol. I use Frontpage, but then I have to clean up all the code afterwards, and I hate doing that, but I prefer the GUI over Dreamweaver because this was the first editor I've used, so have got used to it.

Now, what I need is another program, any program, free or not, that has a fairly simple GUI, that is similar to frontpage, but spits out code like dreamweaver, so I don't need to fix up the code so the page looks good in the 3 main browsers.

Any suggestions would be great.

Then get used to the dreamweaver interface, or keep using frontpage... silly. Gotta make it so complicated.

What do you hate about it so much? When was the last time you used it? Have you used MX? Did you know you can totally customize it to make it look however you want? And hide all the stuff you don't use?

I have 5.0, I think that's what it is. But I just like the way Frontpage is, lol. Well, I'll see what I can do when I have time.

I just thought someone might know of another editor out there I could try.

I think frontpage is terrible. The interface seems very amateurish to me. Too many clicks involved to do simple things. But then, I learned on Dreamweaver...

http://www.arachnoid.com/ - arachnophilia is supposed to be good. Charm uses it. It's for hand coding only though.

Then there is this: http://www.visicommedia.com/acehtml/

And then of course all of these:

The main difference is you add an object, like a table, and it writes the code for you. So you have more of a visual side to it. But you can toggle between the code and the gui. If you are used the hand coding, the editor is real nice.

It gets a lot more complicated then that, but just a quick difference.
