Hi, i would like to modify this attached image so that i get 3 images; each of the image should has its own border with one of these colours: R=250, G=198, B=200 (FAC6C8) R=191, G=233, B=211 (BFE9D3) R=255, G=251, B=191 (FFFBBF) So i would like to have 3 images with differents border colour: one FAC6C8 border, one BFE9D3 border and one FAC6C8 border. I note that an other image will be add in the center of the image; this last image has all the 4 coulour at the same time (FAC6C8,BFE9D3,FFFBBF et BFBFBF) I think that i should select the border (to not influence the coulours of the centre's image) and remplace it by the wanted colour ... but how to do it? Neither photoshop help or internet's tutorials helps me. I use photoshop 7.0.1. Thank you |

I took a look at your situation, What I did was flaten the image, ( under "Layers" and then "flaten image" at the very bottom) Then use the "levels" comand to make the gray area completly black, ( "levels" is under "image" then "adjustments") I moved the middle slider till the gray turned to black. Now that you have a black and white image, you can select the black pixels with the "select", then "color range" and use the eyedroper tool and select the black area, then adjust the slider till you have a solid selection with out getting into the details of the border. With the black pixels selcted, you can fill them with the color you choose, with the black selected you can select the invers and change the white to a new color as well, "select" "select inverse" Hope this helps |

Hi Salvadore, i got some difficulties to follow this way. I fixed my problem by using Ms Word 2003. In fact, I took the original border from there. With MS Word 2003 then, i applied the differents border colours by using the coulours numerical values (R, G, B), and got at the end 4 different borders colours. I didn't thought about that before. Thank you for help. |
