Red Army site

hey this is my first site to design(besides my own).


first of all I need to state a few things


-This isn't a functional site. (didn't intend it to be)
-i'm not a commie I just wanted to do an old war site and didn't want to do an american one.
-this is heavily influenced by theallied.one26.com (It doesn't look too much like it but I got a lot of the ideas from there so I give them credit for my inspiration).
-the bg images are pretty big so be aware of that(this falls under the 'look over functionality' aspect I guess)

on 1024x768 res, there's alot of empty space on the bottom, the images just cut off.

huh. thanks. im looking with 1024x768 and that's not the way i see it but I'll try to fix it. Thanks a lot.

ok it should be better.


How do I avoid that?

what size should my background image be if I want it to fill up the page in 1024x768?


by the way, if at the splash page you see white stuff on the border of the star just refresh. I don't know why it does that.

I thought my style was more unique.

I've never seen that style, besides in my own work, anywhere on the web. I like it though.

i don't know if you're gonna worry about us at 1280x1024, but the background image repeats at the bottom, and it looks kind of funny to see news, and right news repeated at the bottom only to cut off....

yeah I know that. I don't know what to do to make it fit in all resolutions. I guess I should have made the original background image a whole lot bigger. But that would have made it look pretty ugly.

I guess I should have put a "this site best viewed in 1024x768" thing.

I made it repeat cause I didn't want there to be just a solid red or a white.

I know it's called Red Army and all, but lay off the red, man. But I like how you blended all the images together.

i think the red is fine

the background is the only thing that's red, all the images are just black and clear in the center.

it would have looked horrible if all the people were their original colors.
