Before I do anything drastic, do you think I should just fix the small details like the buttons or redesign the whole page?

I think you should try to fix the small things first and see how it turns out. Redesigning is something we webdesigners do sooner or later anyway. ;)

needs work i agree with the rest about it really being a newbie design

I've tried and tried to get the buttons to work correctly and I can't seem to do it, I also need to make a place a the top of the page for banner ads. So, I have decided to redesign that page. I will post some betas soon.

If you can't improve this specific style any longer than perhaps a redesign is in order, and keep in mind what about your site is making people twitch and try not to do it agian. The buttons seems to be a major issue with the people here.

I myself really don't like those drop shadows. You have thisflat serfaces and this heavy drop shadow. It seems to go against the rest of the design and just looks bad.

Have a flat look, or have a 3d look. ANd untill you get good at both don't try to mix them

The airbrushing looks a bit cheesy...
