Charm is right it does sound playful and whimsical, and I too was dissapointed. :(

Charm was right about another thing.
No excuses.... it isn't hard at all to make that site look good on every resolution. You have a repeating pattern on the right side of the thing. IF the thing was sliced correctly it could stretch from 800 x 600 to WHATEVER.

When you build a website, it is a god idea to start with a resolution of 800 x 600 (780 x 580) and build from there. You CAN make it look good on every resolution.

I personally use the dreamweaver suggestion of 760x420, but height is only a concern of mine if I don't want a scrollbar on the side.

Its not the most creative looking page in the world, "trendy" and.. lacking a human touch.. I'm with torn and charm. It looks like you swung a 3d ray tracing at the screen and then slapped some columns of text down.

Of course, the 3d thing does look nice, but then we get so jaded and used to them popping up everywhere.

Someone using a watercolour on their site would kick ass..

I think you guys are taking it to seriusly. The Pointyhat site was just something i did in a hour or two to have SOMEHING to show my teacher/class... You see i am working on somehting bigger for my Pointyhat thing but it will take time... More than i have for the class..... THING :d

but If stretch the site above your 1024 resolution, it breaks apart the images on the top banner.
