Thats because you don't check your webpage in Netscape. Yes, Netscape is a loser. But while not alot of people like to use a product now made by those whores at AOL (compared to those whores at MS) its still a rather popular product and not something to be ignored. Its good practice to try it make it work in both. I haven't heard how much of the netscape population that 6.0, so i still just check pages in 4.75 |

I still check all of my pages in Netscape. Might not be as important to you since it's just a design site, but if you do any commercial work it's a must. 4.7 is hopefully on its way out, since that is the worst browser ever created. If you write standards compliant code, you should be ok in IE5/6, NS6, Opera, Konqueror, Omniweb, etc. So make sure you do that.

Actually i was using IE 5.5 on win 2000 the first time it was broken. and never ignore netscape. Just because your stats log says you have few netscape users doesn't mean they are totally accurate. The clients at my work always want it to work in netscape. Sometimes they even want it to PRINT perfectly. Its good practice to make your pages work in both NOW. Its like ignoring 800x600 users (another common problem) just because everyone you know users 1024x768. Screw the people you know, they already know you site. you want to make it for everyone else lol. |

On the scroller area, you should have the arrows to the right of the text you are going to scroll, not the left. It's just a usability thing, though. Everyone does it that way and everyone is used to it. Another thing is don't worry about making you site work in certain browsers. Code HTML by the standards and you should be fine (XHTML 1.0). |

its functional but there is nothing here that really wows me. its really text heavy. you're not really showing off with this design. i'm not sure it will impress the user. i'm not a fan of the orange/black/gray color scheme. its not every original. |

one more thing... this design is very simple. i don't see why the issue of web standards has even come up. keep it simple and there should not be a problem. |
