Most of the content isn't finished but You'll get the idea.

This is one of those "The wife likes it, I don't" things....

Looks pretty good. Nicely laid out and so on. Seems a little flat though. As if all of the graphics and content are on one plane. Nothing really draws my eye. When the page loads, my eye just sticks wherever it was when I loaded it. I would think that perhaps a more powerful and bold font for your header text would work nicely. That or a picture of some boobs in the corner.

The gray and maroon do not go together well, but the overall appearance of the sites is good. Though the headers (i.e. design news, friends, tips, etc.) could be made to be more desirable by fonts and etc.

actually. when used properly, they grey and that shade of red go very well together.

I do like the professionalism of it. And a site in the showcase that has content...I'm amazed by that. I've also got a thing for angles...they are just sexy like that.

And I do like the colors. It's an original color scheme. It's not blue and blue and blue and black like everyone else uses. When I think of Torn, I think of the color Maroon, like when I think of Axiom I think of bright green...it's just not right NOT to use that color.

My only beef is that the header/top, whatever you want to call the banner+NAV seems to big. It seems as though it should be shrunken a little bit.

I also like the use of the icons on the right-side. I like how you used the icons to start the different paragraphs over there...I think I'll steal that idea.
