Lookin good man. My designing skills have gone boom after a month break. :(

The first one really have some really good potentional.
Could need something more in the header...
Some kind of gray background.
And maybe some eye candy in the main window?
Otherwise great
The other one has some really nice bg...lol just kidding.
Could maybe be a bit more together?
Not sure...?Like one more bg behind the whole thing.

1st:

- The header/nav is too empty and the colors seem too light (i may be wrong....been F*n with my gamma )

- The body text.......u either need a diff font.....or more leading.

2nd :

- the nav buttons should be the same width regardless of the lenght of the text (and the fact that they're left aligned)

i think i like the 2nd one more because it's just not something u see very often. just get the content text to stand out more.

I like the first one. I don't think the font you used for the interface goes along with any of the other fonts you used though. This is kind of picky but maybe align the home button with the VS hosting text. You have these neatly done two columns and then the navigation is kind of off to the left.

I think the first one is kind of boring. Also way too wordy. Too many words... It's intimidating and makes me run away! The nav font looks really amateurish as well.

I really like the second one. It's unique, and really fits the content of the site well. It gives a feeling of coffee pretty well... south america and all that. Good stuff.

you could at least alter the bg on the second one so it doesnt look as much as 3jorns original...

and i think the contentbox should have a lighter bg ...

otherwise it think its pretty sweet, i love the logo and the effect on it..

Yeah, I am going to change it, I asked 3jorn if I could use it and he said only if I change it, but I have been too lazy. I'll get around to it eventually.

FOr the first - I pretty much agree with deker - too many words

I really like the logo of the cofee thing. Why not use a sack texture for the bg? you know - like the sacks they carry cofee beans into...
