My prob is that your splash screen doesn't flow with the rest of the actual site. The colors are rich and warm on the splash, then the actual site is very grey and cool which doesn't flow well with the warmth of the splash screen.

I actually thought your site was going to use those colors in the splash but then was disappointed to find out otherwise.

Continuity I think is the word.
