At your age, you should have more creative ideas. From your explaination above, you're designing the page for youself more than for someone else.

About the bike photo, its squashed up, fix that. I'd think the original photo would look better without the perspective edit.

The resolution thingy, design for 800x600 res. If you aren't comfortable designing fluid layouts(www.zedb.com/zedd - I think mine is), just do up one that fits the above res and center/left align it.

Pixels Fonts - http://www.fontsforflash.com/ Get some from the Freebies section.

Your design doesn't need to be trendy. F*ck trendy, if they look good, who gives a damn the word trendy

I think I do have creative ideas...just me...and actually no, my brother loves it but then again he doesn't design pages and I wanted everyone's opinion as well. and I see your point about the photo however that was my intended effect and the original picture is massive.

Not an attack on anyone, but looking at some of the sites on here, I definatly mine isn't horrible. I've seen people get good comments on sites that, well, really aren't good sites, I don't know...I'm gonna re-design it again I guess...yippy.

But seriously, thanks for all the comments.

I've noticed that too. It seems like the trend is that if you have a site that requires a lot of work people will give you certain critiques and tell you 'Good job' or 'Nice work' in hopes for the person to further their skills, unlike a forum *cough* we know.

But if you have a site that's decent, people'll comment and critique and comment yet again in order for it to become even better. And since decent sites have lots more stuff on it to comment about, I guess that's also a deciding factor in this. :]

Oh, and another note, I guess age doesn't really matter...

*15*.

Actually, on second thought, I like where my design is going, so how exactly should I go about adjusting it for the 800X600? I may touch up some things (I will change the fonts- what do you suggest for the body of the text?).
