Czak we want to see the sigs that way you can just glance at the post and know imediately who posted it. The sigs are a good Idea they just need to be monitored so you don't have ones that get to be tooo popular for being hated. Because if you came to this site and a sig took a really long time to download you wouldn't forget that sig. But sigs are just there to define the postees. Anways that is what I think..

Heh.. I was under the impression that the User Names defined the postees..
A quick glance at someones name generally tells you who was posting.

Giving the people with slow connections the option of turning off signatures would be a clumsy way around the problem... but it would work.. People should be self-moderating, but obviously they aren't..

I agree with you that a username defines the user but if you just quickly go through the thread you can quite easily tell who posted what. Or at least I can. It is much then looking at each one and reading the username... but hey I could be wrong I have been wrong one or two times before.

I did actually turn of the whole sig thing, but it gets boring after a while, I do like seeing peoples sigs, and generally I do glance down to see who posted.. but, I think having a 25k max size limit would help considerably.. the sig pics aren't supposed to be full page advertisements.. just a small pic with you alias on it.

It is 40 k. The one I stuck up there was cut down to 23 k.
