For a beginner, i'd go for a Mac, there's incredibly simple to use...Plus they hae better colour management than PC's, you can automate basically anything and the list goes on...I have 2 pc's and a mac, and this Mac i'm using in work (g4 with 17' flatpanel) and i have to say that i actually hate PC's now..Macs are far more superior when doing graphics for print (especially) and anything else. And now everyone will tell me i'm wrong but i'm not. |

very very very strange...never ever heard of thi before....maybe allocate more RAM to the program, or buy some more....sometimes if you have too many things running, things start to get sluggish. If you''ve bough photoshop whihc i presume you have, phone Adobe with the serial number in hand. Also, if your image is over 5mb, this could well be the reaon for the delay |

MAC is the way to go for graphics, i wish i had the money to buy both but im stuck with my pc that works fine but i have worked with G4s for 2 years at another location and it makes my 1.2 amd look lame. Rendering is so much faster and with a 22" flat screen cinema monitor it makes things look even better... if you have the money and dont care too much about internet or games macs are what you want for photoshop. and they are the industry standard.

If you buy an external mouse yes....why not get the new iMac, it's the same as a g4 packed into a small sphere. You can rip DVDs too among other things...
