You shouldn't run into any problems as long as you use the same versions of the same programs to work on it. You can network them and share files without any trouble.

If nothing else, given that Photoshop specifically is a very RAM-intensive program, Macintosh OS X is an undeniably rock-solid operating system, if for nothing else than the fact that programs remain running in the 'background' and any errors incurred with them will not effect any other programs you have running. Also, macintosh offers far greater realtime functionality, in that things like document modifications don't cause the computer to 'crap-out' nearly as much as they might on a windows system. In terms of hardware, there is no denying that PC's and Apple's are for the most part neck-and-neck, in terms of overall number-crunching performance, but it's an OS preference issue for the most part now. Typically, Apple computers are now easier to use, and more stable than Windows based systems. |

System-Level integrated color management. Windows doesn't have it. |

hello, Utopian (it's Pierre) Could you elaborate on the benefits of having the CM at os level? if one does mostly work in the Adobe apps, one will use the Adobe CM engine, no? I guess that the point is when one leaves the Adobe world... |
