A friend of mine (as I am quoting) said that Radeon is putting out a new one that is going to rock.... Will have up to 256 megs of DDR(still 256bit) and will be released in about 2-3. This is what Monarch computers is telling me. I have been looking everywhere for a FX and nothing to be found. Plus I think Nvidia is in big trouble with this card. My 9700 score 5200 in the new 3dmark score. opposed to my 4600 only score 1800. I read on article that the FX only hit 2300. Hail to the new king ATI!!!! |

Yeah, ATI is getting their R350 and RV350 chipsets into action, while Nvidia is nowhere near their NV35 release. For more very good articles and information look here: [H]ardOCP |

yea i heard nvidia was pulling the FX and just concentrating on a new card. but ATI is ub3r expensive...although i must admit my ti4200 does lag a bit in ut2k3 demo :( but in CS...it's pretty good still except when it's laggy.

Haha! I wish I had one of those 9700's.... They has something when the GeForce2's were out and it seems they were getting worse every release. I thought the 4200-4600 series would have been great, but I am hearing different from gamers.... oh well...

what settings are you running there? heh. with my crappy gforce 2 mx400 i was running unreal smooth at 800x600. but yeah ATI is really kicking butt right now. Nvidia better think of something quick, because the FX is just as good as the 9700 pro and thats been out for some time. |

ATI is better bang-for-the-buck. You can get a ~$300 Radeon 9700 Pro, which beats the GeForceFX 5800 Ultra (which is like ~$400). So yeah. ATI pwnz j0o :D |

Am I the only one that gets lost with all of the graphic card jargon? Any simple easy-to-understand charts or tables listing all of the good/bad/pro/cons qualities of the major graphics cards that are out now? I've been playing some new games lately and I need to update my card. Suggestions? |

Give me the system specs that this card will go into, and your budget, and I'll tell you what you're perfect card is, and why.
