hmm I've been thinking about purchasing some software to make my website more.. I dunno cool, like with flash or something.. what do you guys think would make a good investment ?

i can only say flash, because if you have dreamweaver/a page making software the only other web software i can think of is flash, it is pretty simple to learn, i did pretty well back in flash 4 days learning just from sites like flashkit.com i would get it... make some sweet animations or a whole page out of it..

get flash or photoshop 7-if you don't have it yet, it's lots cheaper, too.

Anyway, get Flash definitely. Director is darn hard to use, plus you can't really make website with it unless you're a scripter...get flash or DW.

If you have Photoshop 6, just get Flash.

director is for film editing, and quark is for ad layout.... not really web layout

so that leaves like flash mx and 800 other things

Quark 5 claims it's excellent for XML web design as well as the traditional print design and layout that we've all been using since 1994. Oh, what's that? We were all in 2nd grade in 1994? sorry, just me. I'm old.

Director is in fact not for film editing. It's for making shockwave programs etc. Quark is used for plenty of things, i use it everyday for leaflets, invites, manuals etc. Most mags are make using Quark. And i never knew Quark has XML capabilities..hmm, you learn something everyday
