os x tiger

Well anybody get the latest Mac OS yet? I ordered on Amazon since I got the $35 rebate.

What are your thoughts if you got it? I have to wait about 3 days before it gets here.

I don't have it. Or any money to buy it. But a friend got his today, and as soon as I get him on the phone I'm going to go up there and have a Tiger party! We'll all install it on our Powerbooks! OMG NERDs!!!

It came at 4:30 PM today, I installed it and then ran off to the Apple store for the launch party to try and with some free schwag. Got a couple of iTunes songs and saw a bunch of people win stuff. I eventually came home, defeated by my lack of luck, but I did watch a few demos on Dashboard and one on Automator, which easily looks like the coolest and most promising new feature. Spotlight is amazing too. Overall, the whole new OS is just simply amazing. Check out the RSS Screensaver when you get a chance too guys. If my Apple Store puts up pictures from tonight, I'll link you to them, hey, maybe I'm in some!

Did you do an upgrade or clean install? ( no bugs or problems?, anything not work?)

Tiger does not have ilife bundled in the os does it? I really dont like that. I really dont want to buy ilife. I only do clean installs so upgrading it to keep it is not what I want to do.

I don't know about Tiger as far as the software goes, but I did find a ridiculous article that Apple is being sued by Tiger Direct, the comments are rather hillarious:

I did an upgrade, my mother is a standard user, so I did it the standard user way. She was all worried everything would get messed up, but there were no problems at all with the upgrade. It was also shockingly fast. iLife is not bundled, but people who didn't get their order on Friday like promised, are getting free copies of iLife and iWork. Eh, it's still really nice.
