Then again, this war is about oil and other stupid gains.
Saddam is not the number one threat to the US at all.

Too much propaganga floating around... if we really wanted oil we should've just taken the whole middle east if we had the reason to. It's a few advantageous gains though, oil being number one. I wouldn't be worrying about the oil thing, but I'd be worried about after the war is over, the US would have a good foothold in the Eastern hemisphere with easy access to Europe, Africa and Asia. Just like it's Pacific counterpart Hawaii, the us can use Iraq in future conflicts if any arise. So watch out Paavo, Bush is coming into your backyard. :\

I agree guys - way, way too much propaganda going on right now. I really don't think it's about world domination or strategic RISK-like maneuvers, though. I'm more concerned with an already angry North Korea and their nuclear weapons than Saddam's same old, same old.

I'm seeing Geraldo Rivera and his idiot clones on CNN or MSNBC live from Turkey - sitting in the desert waiting for something to explode or worse, creating "situations" - hoping to egg the situation on. I see Dan Rather interviewing Saddam Hussein on 60 minutes! I see juvenile subheads like "Countdown to War" or "Invasion: IRAQ" - it is sickening, - almost hilarious - to watch people get all excited to see what GW does next.

The problem is - the results of our President's decisions are definitely not going to be funny.

If the UN does not approve of military action towards Saddam and Iraq - Bush simply should not - CAN not - launch a strike. After all, isn't that what Iraq is in trouble for right now? Not cooperating with the UN, right?
