1)What is it called when you have a link that takes you to a certain place(lets say MIDDLE) of a page? 2) can you do that with two iframes? If so how? For example, one iframe has a link. That link makes the MIDDLE of a page show up in another iframe. |

Go to his tutorials section and then check out the iframe section. Only problem is he is using GoLive as the tutorial source, which may not help you. Here are some helpful sites.... http://www.echoecho.com/school.htm http://www.htmlgoodies.com/tutors/inlineframes.html do some searching on google and you may find more info about iframes. |

Answer to No. 1: It's called an anchor. I don't know the answer to no.2, I never use iframes. |

ok cool thanks thanks for the sites, I'll have to check them out. As for alphas site: I already know all about iframes and how to make them. My question was about linking to a certain point on a page ie, the center of the page. So his tutorial, while very easy to understand and good, did not help me. |

{a href="blahblahblahdat-eeblah.htm" target="echo"}click here{/a} <-----this would be the clickable area or link. {iframe src="blah2blah.htm" name="echo"}{/iframe} <-----this would be the iframe that changes to blahblahblahdat-eeblah.htm when you hit "click here" and uh, change the '{ and }' to '< and >' |

i guess I'm not being clear enough. I know how to do that. I know all about iframes. Forget about the iframes. I want to know how to have a link and make it take you to, lets say the middle of that page. You know how some sites have a link saying "middle of page" and it takes you to the middle of that page? and some have links that say 'article no. ten' and it takes you to article number ten on that same page? I just need to know how to do that. |
