Hi guys.. Here is my problem. When ever I do an update on my website and I upload it... I have to hit refresh about 3 to 4 times before the changes show up. (online) My question is... my visitors are having the same problem. What little peace of code can I put so that when someone visits the website it will check for changes? Hope that makes sense :-) Thanks DD |

Eh? from a fellow in VanCity =).... are you using cookies on your site? If you are, then that shouldnt affect changes. Cookies are used for retrieving values, like your login name and password on most forums, for example. Not the images and such. Check with your host. You can set the refresh for the actual server. If it's IIS I have had refresh problems as well. Not so much on an apache server. There probably is a script that will refresh the site based on recent files. Sounds like asp or php would be your best bet. I am a newbie in both so sorry I couldnt be more help.... |
