I am designing a new layout for my Indiana Jones hobby site and i've been running into some serious issues for Mac users. I currently only use a PC, so troubleshooting is in the dark. The approach is geared towards tableless design with a more streamlined graphical approach. I'm looking for Mac workarounds or fixes to make it more compliant. Thanks! |

Could you be more specific about your problems? I dont think it is a specific to mac problem about browser interpretation with macs. What you are probably running into is browser version mismatch. You need to know what browsers are having problems in the macs and what versions. IE is always behind when it comes to macs, (not sure if it is at 6 yet, but maybe a mac person will say.) ** edit.... K I took a quick look at your css sheet and what you might be running into is using relative positioning and float. The one thing that doesnt seem resolved from browser to browser is how they deal with layout using CSS. But if you could elaborate more on what is causing your problem, then that would be cool. Oh, I ran into this site a while back: www.bluerobot.com and got all into having a CSS layout site. Man that was a bad idea! lol.... It only worked well in one browser: IE. But I think it is cool what he has going on and when CSS gets that one more step compliant then great! |
