it's a little something i like to call, experimentation. you'll never know how 'til you try. i'm sure mo0 didn't read any tutorial and just messed around on his own. :D anyway, great job, looks awesome, and yes, i can see the scan lines, though they are barely noticeable. |

I didn't really look at the .jpg file... The compression really messed it up. :p In the .psd file it's fine though. Anyway, for the seats, I manually desaturated everything except for that one orange seat (yeah, I wanted to use my WACOM xP). Once I got that done, I jacked up the Brightness/Contrast by 10/20. Then, using the ever-so-popular scanline pattern, I create a mask on the image and copy that to a new layer. Third, I'd give the layer with the scanlines a nice gaussian blur, preferably 1.5 to 3.0, and adjust the Brightness/Contrast by 10/20 again. So now I got this look that it's all shiny and stuff, I grab the clouds image, resize it appropriately, and manually skew it so that it fits the seats. Finally, just set the Layer's Blending mode to Soft Light, and erase any parts that's outside of the area you want the clouds to be. |
