wow, those are awesome pics man. i'm no pro photographer though so don't go my opinion, but i really enjoyed looking at those, i love lightning shots :D

Those are awesome pics... its hard getting good pics of lighting... they are so fast and unpredictable... The first bigger "wallpaper" one dont really look real did you add the lighting in later or what... either way those are some really nice shot... nice work man.. :D

Lol, the first big picture doesn't look real ... I know ... it feels like a painting ... the only thing that happened to it is I removed the noise, causing the picture to be a bit more blurry. I applyed the noise removal on a 2048x1536. When resizing the pic to 1024x768 you gain some sharpness ... so it compensates The original (noise) picture: http://users.skynet.be/catscratch/storm/2427.jpg It's just resized. |

Wow, nice pics dude. those are great. I've tried taking pics of lightning but it's damn hard. and scary lol. Great shots!

How did you set it up to get those pics? Did you use some type of light trigger that snapped the shots or did you just stand out there and click away?

I used a shutter speed of 4". Actually taking these pictures weren't all that difficult. All the lightnings where concentrated in one cloud. So focus on the cloud, set a decent shutter speed, shoot ... and hope for a lightning while the camera is "recording". |
