Natalie Imbruglia and Misc Wallpaper

Hey whats up everyone, Im new here. Hope I can learn some good techniques here . This is what I made recently and wanted some feedback, btw can anyone link me to sites to get photos/art I can use such as deviantart.com, thx in advance!

I think you could do something to blend the Natalie image and the Architext font a bit better. They look like they should go together but the excessive use of the wind filter is distracting. Good otherwise .
The only thing I can think of to fix on delusional would be to lighten up the scanlines a bit, or lower the opacity on that layer.

I made the scan lines alot darker to make the white stand out a bit, :\ was going for like a glass look but Ill try to whip it up on another one hehe

The first one is okey but I think you have overplayed with that effect too much on the picture, it´s like every were around the girl. But the fading and the blending of the girl was well done.

I like the secound one. Its very nice and clean, but the font you have there (delusional) kind of destoys the clean and soft "aura" around the picture.

IMO on the first wallpaper the border of white around the image is just a bit to harsh.. maybe blend it some more and maybe add some other colors besides the pictures of Natalie....

and the other one is pretty good... pretty simple and clean... the i agree with biz... the font you used for the word delusional makes it look out of place... the other fonts around it are simple and clean and then theres that one... other then that i think its good...

I think it is a good start... You should make many of those pictures, trying to copy all the fancy stuff there is on the net. First because you'll learn a lot with layers and opacity options, second because it's really rewarding.
Just want to say you're on the way, since the others already gave wise advices.

ohh just wanna point out that i definitly thin you 'overused' the wind filter in the wallpaper with Natalie
