I like the seagull one, the night one just seems, bland. For one it seems as if the pic is slightly like titled and another thing since its a night photo its got a good amount of noise in it, but good seagull pic!

yeah i agree with inhale... the seagull one is good... crisp, decent lighting.. etc.. but the night time one i dont really care for.. its pretty grainy (noise) and it does kinda look like the pic is tilted... but the seagull one is pretty good...

Seagull: Pretty nice. I think this shot would realy improve if it was croped much tighter to the bird. The lightning in this shot isnt that good eighter.

Boardwalk: This shot has a bigger potential then the bird shot IMO. The poor quality of the shot ruines it though. Night shots are always hard to take, but if you still want to do it you realy need a tripod so you can have a loger exposure. The bottom of this shot fills no function IMO (it would have if the reflections in the water where clearer though). I think the shot would improve by cropping it below the sailboat.

Overall well done though.

I like the night shot the best, but you should remove the noise. Take a look at www.neatimage.com. It's a great noise remover there and the best part is, it's freeware. Lot of risk of noise when you take nightshots (shutterspeed, ISOvalue).

The seagull picture is good, but it does feel a bit depressed, a bit dark. Not your fault but the weather. Perhaps you can make it little bit more "alive" with photoshop, playing around with brightness/contrast, curves, levels ...

Both pictures seem a bit tilted ... very easy to correct that problem with photoshop.
