Prob with Tutorials

I did one of the tutorials, the Text Effect thing and it came out good but i had one problem where the white spots are supposed to be (In the pic below) it's supposed to be brown like the outer color I tried retracing my steps I even did it over again, but I couldn't figure out why it was brown, maybe i layered wrong? looks like the brown is just an inner glow... change the inner glow color to brown?
