ive tried and tried and tried, but i cant figure out how to make shards, can anyone help me?

first, this should be in the help sections, and second, what is a shard? lol :D

he means the transparent crystals trendwhores use in their sigs & logos, corr look for some tutorials, i think i saw something on phong.com or somewhere, not too hard to find :E
