My very first picture with new digital camera

This is the first picture I took with my new camera...first time ever using a digital camera...and I love it!!

On the up side: Nice colors. Lighting looks decent. Good framing.

Downside: Maybe hold the cam up higher and shoot down on the flowers a bit more. They are the focus of the shot and deserve more photographic *real estate*. And although not a shooting issue, the JPEG looks compressed really hard, especially around the petals. Maybe shrink the image size a little and compress less for next time?

Overall, a nice first attempt Jimmy. Glad to see more folks posting their digital photography work here!

Thanks for the response...As it was my first pic with the camera it was basically just a point and shoot picture. I'm trying to learn alittle more about photagraphy as I go. Hopefully the more I play around with it the better I'll get. :D
