First Real Grunge

I've tried it before but was never able to figure out how to do it. Now I have, got some brushes, and made this. 4th of July is comming up soon so that's kinda the theme.

flag came with the brush set, The last thing I wanna do is deface the flag.

I think this goes straight to the point, heh. I mean, it's a shame it took something so devastating, Sept. 11th before people decided it was a good idea to be civil. In a way this could be suggesting the state of the US prior to the event. Intentional or not, I like the view.

I don't understand this obsession with grungy images. Is it a fad or just a personal prefrence or something? I noticed another post called trendy, wouldn't this grunge thing also be trendy then? Conforming non-conformists.

grunge is trendy but some people do like it and probably will keep doing it... but "trendy" is a style just as grunge both are personal preference anyway... the pic is simple in clean a lower level of grunge but it looks nice none the less

That is a nice image, but hardly looks grungy, I guess when it comes to composition i can see what you're talking about. Nice work though!

I like it too, all thought it seems a bit blury around the apples
