i believe ive seen you use that same font and same filter style for it before, but its a cool look so its not bad to use it a few times... try making a wallpaper that isnt so centered and concurrent next time i bet you can still make a sweet looking one =)

You mean on the text? Go to Filter>Distort>Ripple. I've used that font before, but as for the effects on it I was just playing around with different filters today and came up with that. AS for having it centered, with this particular pic it kinda hd to be centered. I used to have the O covering up the center of the radiation symbol but you couldn't really see the globe in the middle. Yep, there's definitely a marijuana leaf as a custom shape. Adobe is telling you to do drugs! Don't use PS!!!! |

Just adding a ripple filter is not going to make the text look like that. There's got to be more to it

I see what you're talkin about now. First I made the bottom text layer, and used Eyecandy's Glass filter. Then I duplicated that layer and went to Sketch>Chalk and Charcoal and then Stylize>Glowing Edges and adjusted the hue and the blend mode. Finally, I loaded the bottom layer selection )Ctrl click) and made the top text layer, filled it with Eyecandy>Chrome, then applied the ripple, then adjusted the blend mode again. There are probably some more things I did, I was just messing around since I didn't really know what I wanted the text to look like, those are just the steps I remember. If you want some good effects, there are the tutorials here, theres photoshopcafe.com and rainworld.com/psworkshop/ (no www) and good old trial and error. |

All Yahoo problems aside, I tweaked it a little. I took redeye's advice and made it not so centered. As for everything being the same color, I don't have a very good eye for colors and I didn't really know what would go well with the green background (the rad sign and the explosion) except more green. Global Meltdown2 if it doesn't work I say we all jump whoever owns Yahoo. Or, you guys could let me know if there are any other hosting sites that will let me put links up here. I tried using Brinkster, but the only way I can link you guys is to build a site, and I have neither the energy nor the skills to make one (but I will soon, there's a massive tutorial on it at pscafe). |
