it looks alright to me. nothing really eye catching in there. im bad at giving advice, so ill let the others give you some pointers

I like it a lot.

maybe keep a constant color scheme. true, dark blue and dark green do, at times, go well together, however in this case i prefer it being all blue :p

there seems to be a lot of ugly gray in middle area for the blue side, maybe you can add a layer of color (the same blue of course) above it and change the blending mode to color or overlay so that it would be blue.

i dunno what's the point of the oscilloscope thing at the bottom is for so let's ignore that for now.

the font used for Industry is good.

at least you added your name to your work and in a place that it won't distract you from the main idea of the image, good job.

For a first, it´s great.
Yeah, I agree with mooch on the colors, and everything else..
It´s a bit chaotic, with no focal point or that crap..
But as said, for a first wallpaper, it rocks.
