It's the entry page for a site I'm currently designing, I need feedback. thanks guys.

i dont really like the background green wave thing... i think it would just be fine with a black background and the same green text. Simple is sometimes best.

Thanks for the feedback, but I think that would be a little to plain. I could maybe modify the background but I just think it would be boring without SOMETHING there.

I like it, the wavy green circles kinda give me a radar feel :p . Circlish I guess. I would pick a diff font for the Research Associated blah blah and the enter site. and make suer its a little cleaner, the text there is blurry. the radar text is cool. The .net looks a little too small maybe, but either way, its defianantly too low raise it up maybe 3-5px, to line up with the RADAR text. Otherwise it all looks good.

I like the background, very nice look to it. Maybe fade the opacity of it in the middle so the text stands out more? Or vice versa?

ditto about the .net as well, it looks out of place.

another thing to try, maybe cropping out the background image except in the area of the text, like have a border with a 1/2" margin.

But it looks nice the way it is as well. With the above changes.

hi buckman, i like your image, it fits well to the theme and purpose of the site. just a couple things i might add to such an image are, maybe instead of having wavey lines coming out of the RADAR title, i would have text, coded messages, numerical text etc, think back to the begginning of the matrix. as a small font, this might have a good effect.

secondly, how about some of the dots\lights that appear on rader screens? positioned around the image on the lines or on their own, it might add a nice effect.

this is my peev right here, and i think i'm too picky...but u said u needed feedback and i feel cranky right now so if i'm harsh or whatever ...u know why

my peev: i can't stand splashes that just end. let it be said some splashes look betteer 'ending' it sticks out to much otherwise...
note: i started talking to my friend about CS so i lost my train of thought, the rest of this may not be to helpful, if it at all.

as everyone has said, the .net needs fixing.
the font underneath radar needs fixing.
i think if you're gonna use that green stuff, you should taper it towards the end to make it blend into the black of the page (i hope you weren't gonna use a white page)

as far as making it an actual radar beacon tower crap machine thing, i wouldn't advise it. but that's just me, i'm no master at anything in advertising and i have no knowledge about how logos make impressions on people and all that in depth stuff that's been going around in your 'inpiring logo wars'. . . but I know what i like, and I think that a radar machine thing would be too corny. as far as having blips around the screen, i don't really know how he meant to execute that, but i see it as your current page w/ dots popping around, that strikes me as stupid. no offense to the idea. but the idea of green specks popping up randomly around the screen followed by a green line, seems terribly mundane. i think you should start over and go w/ red eye's suggestion of something more plain. from the sound of
"Research associated data and retrieval" it doesn't sound like anything flashy or highly graphical anyways. in fact when i think of a site w/ a company of that name, i can't picture a page w/ anything more than a few tables w/ 2 px borders. *cringe*
