I like the second!! I think it's cool. What I see is an old apartment, where some dude just comes home and spends his whole time on the cpu. He even sleeps in front of it.. Now if you made a little pixel sleeping bag in front of the computer that would kick enormous ass!

The apixel.gif look good

Nice use of gradient in pixel art (I alwasy belive they were not good there...)

Dude did you actually pixelate those?

I also love to pixelate, I'm working on a simple isometric game right now with some people, if you drew those by hand, I would advise you to try your hand at finding a small game project as well, if you want, I know several programmers who are looking for artist to pixelate their games.
