I'm pretty new to this forum and I'd love some constructive criticism on this picture I made

what do you guysngals think? Should I immediately delete PS off my harddisk or is there some hope for me :D

Delete PS?? PFFT. You're too humble. heh.. I love how that building is so simple, with a grid like pattern. You blended it all really well, I love it.

i like it, but since you posted this, i assume you are looking for feedback. please remember, this is my opinion--i am neither a professional nor do i pretend to be.

i think what i like least is that the circle is in the middle. i understand that as part of the composition, that is where it fits, but it looks a bit too contrived/artificial. i like the subject matter and especially the view of the building, but the two vertical lines and the circle are the weakest parts of the piece.

also, while i like the graphics that hold the type, i really don't like the type. it looks like a font that was downloaded and typed onto a picture. i would love it if it were made to be more of the composition. there are some great resources on typography on the web (www.coolhomepages.com has a nice tutorial), and i think a more refined approach to that would really enhance the piece.

all in all i like it. keep up the good work!

shoot some color into it. maybe the text or a particular shape?

... the only thing I'd change for sure, however, is to click off the "progressive" box when you save for web.

It doesn't work, & I've heard only bad things about it.
