oh my bad, i didnt think you meant it that way the top of the microphone seems to bulge out too much. ya, and work like about another 30 mins on the head, i think you can make it better. i dunno if it'll look better this way but try it and see how it comes out. (attempts to verbally express his ideas): well you have the mesh/grid texture and you did (im guessing) the spherize (sp?) filter on it then you cut it out so it's circular. using the circular marquee, set feather to like 10~15 and select about 75% of the the circle (select from the angle that the light is coming from. i can't provide screenshots cuz i didn't install PS6 again yet. so here's my feeble attempt to illustrate my point in Paintbrush.) [NOTE]I made the green area too large, move the selection so that most of the selection is in the circle.[/NOTE] Say that the light is coming from the top right. Select the area of the black circle first, and change the Brightness/Contrast so that there is a very subtle change in brightness. Repeat with the Red, Blue, and Green areas. If the result is a bit too dark, just change the contrast in the black area until it's the brightness you want. I don't know how it will come out (this is from the top of my head :p). Try it and show us how it came out. |

You're both wrong =P But spherize is close. I made a grid pattern, and filled the square, I wasn't originally making a microphone, heh. Then I looked around in filters and found pinch, I pinched the middle, then I made a circle, inversed selection, and deleted everything but the tip. I'm in school now, I will try to figure out what you mean mo0, thanks for the advice =P

I'll just use mine and add lighting effects =P I'm gonna scrap it anyway though, I've learned enough from it, and I don't need it for anything. Thanks again for the advice though |
