still life - bicycle and copper pots

I ran across a box of copper pots in my attic. I'd forgotten about them. A still life came to mind, so I took the box of pots outside on an overcast day to find a setting. I saw my daughter's bike leaning against a tree and BINGO - what I like in a picture hit me on the head with a hammer - a nice tension, contrasts between cool silver and warm copper collors and between the soft round pots and the hard edged bike.

Digitally painted using a Wacom tablet and Photoshop.

Great work! Love the attention to reflections.. not just the obvious on the pots but the copper thats in the bike. I used to hate doing a still life in class, never could relate to my teacher, I guess. Really good piece, it works very well as a compostion.

I might just be easily impressed because its far beyond any sort of wanna-be skill i claim to have, but DAMN that is a very good image. You have a good eye for realism and reflection. And all in photoshop too.

good god that is amazing -- its one thing to paint that image in real life but to draw it in photoshop is unbelievable
