...that this is Digital Art or shouöd be shown here, but I'll do it anyway. This pic isn't supposed to be anything, but an experiment with native filters. 1. Is there any comments what so ever...? On this...Link 2. I have a creational problem, can't think of anything specific to do, is it totally wrong to "borrow" a pic in the challenge area and, out of competition, do the challenge and post it here, for critisism ? |

I personally see no problem with that, but why don't you submit it into the challenges forum? I like how the metal is reflective, how did you get it to reflect that greenish color like that? Also, it looks cool sitting in whatever the blue stuff is. I like it =P

(This is the biggest prob'm for me. 'Cuz when I've done sumphin and saved it as an *.psd and wanna redo it someother time. Theres no tellin how I did it, since the history is gone...Darn, hope the'll get round that in an other version of PS.) The only thing I do remember is the blue stuff 'cuz I've maid a action outta it...:-) lots of clouds, mosaic, emboss, radial blur, accented edges, levels and more radial blurs...and so on.... Petty, though I wish I could make actions on everything, then I would know how I did things... PS. I'll try and figure the greenish out if You're really interested.DS. |

Well, since I've come home and sat down I come to realize that I lied earlier. I did 99% of that greenish thing with just native filters, and it turned out oink/purple/green shaded in some way. Then, shame on me, I applied Eye candy chrome...as...a...final...touch. Sorry. Just how I did the prechrome thing is an other matter. Have to give it some thinking and retries, in order to do it again...Sheize, as the German says, I wish the history wouldn't go away.

Pman, not to be mean or anything, but I could do that in about... oh... ten or less steps. The center piece you could use one of KPT's filters on it... not sure which one... forgot... oh well. As for the background... easy. :D But hey, what do I know? :p Its still sexy.

Ok, Frito, I honestly didn't use styles, 'cuz I haven't figured them out yet. All of the blue and 99% of the chromy thing is done by using PS native filters. And as I confessed above I applied Eye Candy chrome to the center piece for the last 1%. Zazisexyman(/woman ?): I know there is faster ways of doin allmost anything in PS, and that very many solutions lays within filtering features. I also know that I p-bly would've been able to do it as fast as You if using 3:d party filters, but I am determend to get to know the basics first so I know what I'm doing... And all of it is possibly very easy done for anyone of you out there, but I'm a newbie with limited time on my hands as far as PS goes due to handling my kids 'n so forth. I took no offence by your post. P'bly needed to here that my pic was a thing you guys do with your left hand while tapdancing :D (The last one was for you Lapgirl,...I mean Tapgirl. );) |

Practice makes us all better and as we all know, there's about a hundred different ways to do something in Photoshop. Learn and experiment w/ the tools and try and come up w/ new techniques. Keep up the good work.
