Hey guys wazzup?? my first time posting so yea.. ok im having trouble setting a size for my background for my site its always too small and repeats itself or its too big that u cant see the actual image.. if you guys dont know what i mean look at my site www.tootyfruity.ca/legacy its still in the works but this is the temporary site..... in the bio section u can see that my background image repeats and in the main page the image is too big and u cant see the whole image properly.. is it that im setting the image the wrong size or is it my html coding?? on another note this is a amazing site.. a real helper to new ppl like me..... ever since i used the chrome text tutorial ive been addicted to it heh still in the process of learning what would be better saving my images as a .jpg or a .gif?? ive been told that with photoshop its best to save as .gif i dunno please help.. better if i get email replys @ [email]legacy@tootyfruity.ca[/email] thnx i appreciate this |

The answer is both A and B. You can fix the problem by sizing your image correctly, and also in the HTML. There are ways to not make you image tile by using Cascading Stylesheets. However, then the image could appear too small and not fill the browser. As for the image being too big, you'd have to reduce the size of the image. However, your site will never look like you want it to because everyone that looks at it will have a different resolution set as well as a differently sized browser window. So basically you need to radically change the way you make your pages, and lose the huge background images. Save them for your gallery and make your site much more simple. Another tip, read the rules of the forum, and follow them. Don't talk about warez here. We can't control where you got your software, but we can control what you talk about here, and warez or anything relating to it is NOT welcome. |
