It isn't my style, I think. Just don't seem to get my finger on what is. I think I did get it together good despite the fact that it doesn't appeal to us, though. I mean techwise (for a newbie)

Got a question for Ye all.

Do one have a style/sort of art before doin' PS or is it possible for one to gain that along the way, when learnin' PS and other graphical proggs ? I am confused, I wanna do so much and I can't sort it out.....-

Think I'll make a deep lake in Bryce and render it in order to drown myself:( --- Or just don't give a damn...Sometime, something will come to me like a revelation and I will be the next

no no...dont drown youself, hehe.

i think it comes to you along the way. i've been on and off with graphics for maybe a year or two and sometime last month the style i most like came to me, which is the 3d, techy, crystallized images mixed in with other techniques in photoshop. (although i like other styles and like to try 'em out once and awhile.)

when i first started out, stuff i made probably looked like your stuff. just keep trying and it'll come to ya.

Hm, hoped You would say the things you said. To the quote, now I've been leaning that way. Haven't come to doin anything yet, though. Any suggs on sites to study in order to try this "3TC" (3D Techy Crystallized) style out...? I really like this style. Do You render 3D images and than play around with it in photoshop or what ? Well, I'll try that anyways. Seems like fun come to think of it.

Thx, Squidddy, You gave me somethin to think about. Plz, let me know 'bout some good links to study and get inspiration from...

hmm, yea i render the images in 3d studio max then open them in photoshop and see what i can do.

as for links, here are a few ive been to that helped out.
http://www.somethingleet.com/tuts/
http://www.deviantart.com/thumbnails.php?section=3dsm

everything else i've kind of found out for myself by just messing around with different options in 3ds max. for example, in my sig, that crystal was created from me just messing around with 3ds.

as for the photoshop techniques i use, most of these i have also learned on my own or have been compiled from about 100 different tutorials. my advice for you is to go out and do as many tutorials that you can find that even remotely resembles the, as i like to call it, techy look.

hope this helps, if you need anything, just reply or e-mail me, i don't mind helping out at all. well, off to play some tony hawk 3 :D

I do appreciate the help. Good luck in the game.
Great sites btw.

Yet another question. Have you tried out Bryce ? Since You're using 3D Studio Max I guess You prefer that one although You might've tried Bryce, but in Your opinion is 3DSM that much better...I do tend to have software my way if wanting to (company policy, hehehe), so is it something I should abandon Bryce for ????

P-man, not my style either. Maybe try sumthing smaller, i found it was easier to work with a smaller area. Also, dont use texturiser or craqle..textures, they suck. I personally liked ur lsat sig better.

yup, i've tried bryce before, but personally perfer 3ds because it seems to be more flexible and you can change the shapes and models around more to your liking. so yea, in my opinion, i would abandon bryce éNRget 3ds.

Hey F-Shocker, Thx for the criticism, I'll note every opinion and try to learn from them. Have a statement though. I've not used craqle-filter or anything´. This was done with a lot of clouds and other native filters, wave, displace but not any texture filters where used, swear to God. The only thing being done in something other than that is the most beautiful face, t'was done in KPT Materializer.

But I do agree with ye, Have come to dislike it myself as I noted earlier, but I will keep it awhile just to piss myself off  "Damn, look at your sig, man. You gotta be able to do better" -kinda gets me to realize I've got to work on my PS skills...Don' it ?
