yeah i know what you mean, your eye just seems to wander around and only really stops at the text. The original idea was to have the tubes entering a bright light source (main focal point) but it didn't really come off as intented (i didn't have the skills to do it)

Cheers Ax

Duo is talkin 'bout C4D, whats that. Is that better to get instead of 3DSM or should I go with 3DSM now when I have a choice ?? Bare in mind that my3D experience is way down there...

Well here's what i think:

I have only used 3ds max about 2 times so i can't REALLY compare the two. If you have lots of money and are willing to take the time to learn the program, and learn it well then i would go for 3ds max. Mainly due to the amount of resources and help that can be found on the net.

If you still want a VERY good 3d program for a cheaper price then grab a copy of Cinema 4D, from what i hear it is easier to learn than 3ds (though it's still not easy).

In conclusion. If I had to start over i would get 3ds max (i'm sure cybling will dis-agree with me on this) and spend a hell of a lot of time on trying to learn it and use it's full power.

I don't really no very much about the world of 3d so please feel free to abuse me if i got it all wrong, JMO

i would go for cinema 4d if i were you...

you said yourself that you aren't very experienced with 3d, why waste a whole of a lot money on something you aren't even sure of that you can learn it...

Cinema 4d is easier to learn, yet you can make beautiful and complex things with it...

He's new with 4d and he made that. It took me 15 days with 3DSM to animate a premade model.

well that was REAL basic stuff, just getting it at the right angle i wanted took a while. I want to start doing some animation stuff, but that means i'll have to model a character or somkething (should be a good project for the rest of my hoildays).
