I'm impressed of anyone who can do this stuff. I'm like somethin' hanging from a rats ass when it comes to drawing... Great job ! |

Hiyas ;) I use a combo of le programmes.. Photoshop 6 and Illustrator 9. I scan in my drawing and do digital inks in Illustrator then all the rest happens in PS. In this case the background I did outlines for the main elements ( bar top and back wall) and then printed it out so I could draw my character art to match the perspective. I do have a tablet, yes, but it's a 5 yr old 12x12 Calcomp ( I was too cheap to go Wacom). I sometimes use Painter 6 too, and a tablet is fabulous with it since it mimics natural media. |

Thanks ;) You mean the background? Yes, I did the whole thing, character and background art both. On occasion I will trace the perspective lines from a photo and then use them as a basis to make my own background, but in this pic I just winged it. I admit it was fun to come up with the elements in this one, like the city zoo sign. > |

It looks good except for the huge, horrible watermark which mars the image. I don't think there's that much of an issue of copyright violation on the net such as to have such a large one. If somebody wants to rip you off, they'll do it with or without giant watermarks. Leave a small one on the side, IMO. |

Hiyas Yeah, sorry about my evil watermark. < The reason I did it in the first place was because I was selling prints of this image for a convention. I just hadn't bothered to rengineer it sans one yet..for the most part, you get the idea what I'm about. ;) |
