My finished version of my Virtual exile design.. whaddya think?

Hello fellows,
Did this new design a couple of days ago and I'm planning to use this for my first webpage evah!=) Now, this is my first project that has this sort of work in it, usually i only worked with interfaces and i've only been working in PS for some months so i'm a newbie;), So pls check this design and tell me all opinions (I think i'm done;).. ps, this is all done i PS and nothing else). Thx for all replies..

There is two different, if there is someone you like more then the other pls tell me.. and if they both suck you tell me.

Should i throw away the entire background and keep it grey, should I change the tentacles color, these two questions bugs me the most..;)

I dont like the background... I think the page would look much better without it. I like the tentacle color.

Black text on darkblue bg is not a good idea.
